I paint a wide variety of subject matter. My different series shows my my broad interest as well as my diverse talent. However there is a common thread that link these different works together.
Some say there is a peace and tranquility in my work, I believe it largely has to do with the colors I use. My specialized and limited pallet is the thread that runs throughout my range of work.
My colors are specific to each other, they share the same frequency, that is they are all harmonics or octaves of each other, to use a musical analogy. This enables me to mix complimentary pigments to produce soft colorful grays or muted shadows for example.
No matter what colors I choose, each work has an inherent harmony that often speaks directly to the viewers heart.
It is this use of color that interests me the most. Perhaps this is the reason for the many different subjects I paint.
It matters not what I paint but how it's painted.
